This Ski Orienteering Event Advisers’ Clinic is organised for the education and recruitment of new IOF licensed Event Advisers. The national orienteering federations are kindly asked to identify and enter suitable candidates.
This Ski Orienteering Event Advisers’ Clinic is organised for the education and recruitment of new IOF licensed Event Advisers. The national orienteering federations are kindly asked to identify and enter suitable candidates.
In addition to individuals seeking to obtain an IOF Event Adviser licence, the Ski Orienteering Commission also welcomes to the clinic team leaders and athletes interested in acquainting themselves with the Competition Rules for IOF Ski Orienteering Events and other ski orienteering related matters.

Date: Wednesday 28th February 2007
Venue: At the World Ski Orienteering Championships event centre “Planernaya”, Moscow region, Russia.
Accommodation:
At the World Ski Orienteering Championships event centre “Planernaya”. For detailed information on the available types of accommodation, please consult the event website at www.wsoc2007.ru/ and make your booking with the event organiser.
Programme: The clinic programme will consist of lectures, discussions and group work, and of observing the Ski-WOC events and activities. In addition to the main theory sessions on 28th February, the programme will, among other things, include attendance at the team leader meetings. The presence of the clinic participants at as many Ski-WOC events as possible is recommended, as it will give them an insight into the practical work of the Event Adviser. Detailed time table and programme will be provided on the spot.

· International Specification for Orienteering Maps (ISOM) 2000
· Map Specification for Ski Orienteering 2002
· IOF Control Descriptions
· The Leibnitz Convention
The above material is available at the IOF website at www.orienteering.org. The participants are asked to download and acquaint themselves with the material beforehand.
