First medal ceremony took place in Brazil

The medal winners at the World Masters Orienteering Championships Sprint got their medals yesterday evening in a theater full of orienteers.
The medallists included a first-ever Brazilian IOF Major Event winner, Alberto Ev Ironir, in M 35. IOF Council Member Laszlo Zentai spoke at the ceremony.

Medal winners of M and W 40. M 40: 1) Nick Barrable GBR, 2) Mikko Väisänen FIN, 3) Marcus Pinker IRL. W 40: 1) Helga Bertoldi ITA, 2) Triina-Britt Preeden EST, 3) Mette Moeller Nielsen DEN.
Three best in M 35: 1) Alberto Ev Ironir BRA, 2) Samuli Salmenoja FIN, 3) Rune Olsen DEN.
