Record number of countries entered for the World Championships

The World Orienteering Championships and World Trail Orienteering Championships are attracting a record number of countries to Italy this summer.
Athletes from 53 countries have been entered for the Orienteering and from 26 countries for the Trail Orienteering Championships. Altogether there will be 54 national teams present in Trentino-Veneto in July.
The World Championships spectator races, 5 Days of Italy, take place during the week as well. The spectators get the unique chance to run in the same terrain as the World Champions. The entry deadline for the spectator races is 15 June: http://www.5daysofitaly2014.it/en
