Cat Taylor: “It’s a shock!”

Catherine Taylor was running for being among the ten best, but the 24-year-old athlete achieved her biggest sports moment so far.
She just wanted to perform well and she really did that. The very long course of 13.2 kilometres was finished in a great way. “I don’t really know what to say! It’s of course the best I have done and it’s a shock. I was thinking about being in the top ten”, she says.
Her best performance before the great race in Portugal was coming tenth in the Long distance at the World Championships last year.
For the last three years she has been living in Uppsala, a city not so far from Stockholm. “I am running for the Uppsala club Linné and it’s great to be an orienteer there, taking part in training with athletes like Annika Billstam”, she says.
