Ursula Kadan is better prepared than ever. The Austrian is hoping for new international steps forward in the coming days. “I want to be among the 20 best in all the three finals”, Ursula says.
First it is the Sprint on Sunday evening in Pamela. Monday is the Middle distance day, and the last individual final is the Long distance on Tuesday. The relay is on Wednesday. All the races are about 30–50 kilometres south east from Lisbon.
“I am well prepared. During the winter I had no injuries and I could train well. Now I have also had some good international races so far this season”, says Ursula. Austria has five women in the team in Portugal, and in the Sprint Ursula was the only one who qualified. She is 26 years old and lives in Vienna. Soon she will be at the end of the studies. “Then I have to work”, she says.
The goal is to get some part-time work leaving good opportunities to raise her orienteering level.
