World Orienteering Championships, men’s Middle qualification: two Swiss heat winners

Swiss stars Matthias Kyburz and Daniel Hubmann both won their heats today, with Kalvis Mihailovs from Latvia winning the third. Twenty-four nations have runners in the final, and seven of these have three finalists – Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine.
Host nation Finland has only one runner in the final – Petteri Muunkonen and Simo-Pekka Fincke both failed to qualify. Full results are on www.woc2013.fi.
The final will be held tomorrow afternoon.
