Change in IOF MTBO World Ranking Specification
Posted on | March 12, 2013 | Category: News
The IOF has made a decision to reduce the number of scores used to calculate the MTB Orienteering World Ranking overall scores. The overall scores will now be calculated as the sum of each athlete’s four best scores. The reason behind this change is to get the MTB Orienteering World Ranking Specification aligned with the one for foot orienteering and to help athletes with fewer chances to take part in MTB Orienteering World Ranking Events to reach the full overall score. The adjusted World Ranking list will be published in time for the first World Ranking Event in early May 2013.
The new Specification can be downloaded from this link.
