Yulia’s best-ever achievement

Yulia has come up step by step to the absolutely highest world-class level. Her victory in the middle distance at the European Championships is her best so far.
The 29-year-old athlete is number three in the World Rankings. In the middle distance she took a superb victory, finishing almost one minute faster than Anastasia Kravchenko in second place.
“I had a very good race. I just lost three to five seconds in a few places”, the Russian says. “It was a technical race with left, right, right, left and so on”.
The Russian took part in the European Championships last year in Ukraine as well, and her best result was 6th in both Sprint and Long. “This gold is the best I have ever done”, she says.
Her winning secret is simple: hard training for many years!
