Leandersson used some extra seconds

Jonas Leandersson used just a few extra moments to be sure of where to run. Just as at the European Championships in May, he was the sprinter of the day. “I liked the course”, he smiles.
The Swede took the right decisions and he had time enough to take them. He was well prepared and did much better than at the World Championships in July. “I and the other Swedish men weren’t so well prepared for the challenges we met in Lausanne. I was also caught out by the course planner there and made a big mistake”.
– What did you think of the course at WOC?
“It was also good”.
It was a rainy day for the final in Kajaani, and in the final there was also a lot of running on open fields with grass. “But the slippery ground was the same for everybody”, he says.
Jonas Leandersson achieved his second World Cup victory of the year in central Kajaani.
