Tim Robertson, New Zealand took gold in the JWOC Sprint for the second time today, but it was a close-run thing – he won by just 3 seconds. Women’s gold medallist is 17-year-old Simona Aebersold, Switzerland.

Almost 300 athletes from 37 nations will be competing in the Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) in Norway throughout the coming week. All competitions apart from the Sprint will be held in forested terrain at altitudes between 700 and 1100 m.
